Danville, VA – A man has been indicted in the September 30, 2013, death of Gilmore M. Cowan.  Cowan, age 56, was stabbed to death in the early morning hours as he was leaving his job at the Pure Gas Station on South Boston Road. Cowan was getting into a friend’s car when two men approached him, one of them stabbing Cowan repeatedly.

The two suspects fled on foot, leaving behind two Halloween masks discovered shortly after the attack by police.  The assailant may have also been cut during the attack. Police responded to Danville Regional Medical Center after receiving reports of a man brought in with stab wounds.

On November 7, A grand jury issued 1st Degree Murder indictments for Harry James Gladmon (AKA Harry Gladman) (AKA “Beau” Gladmon). Gladmon is described as a white male, 6′ and 205 lbs.

Gladmon is considered extremely dangerous.
