Pittsylvania County, VA – Two fires in the Ringgold area of Pittsylvania County had firefighters busy on Tuesday afternoon.

The first fire call was reported about 1:30PM on the Old Richmond Road.  Firefighters responded to the intersection of Rt. 360 and Gentlemen’s Ridge Road after a garage fire was spotted by a passerby.  BY the time firefighters arrived on scene, the structure was fully ablaze. Investigators believe a car inside the garage caught fire, which spread to the structure. Firefighters contained the fire before it spread to the home.

Nearly two hours later, units from Ringgold, Blairs, and Kentuck Fire Departments responded to a second structure fire on Beaver Drive.  According to reports, that fire started in the attic of the home.  The cause is under investigation in that incident.
